Earlier this year I woke up in the middle of the night and heard the Lord say, “Go to Montreal, Canada.” That was it. Nothing else. Just, “Go to Montreal, Canada.”

Soon after we arrived back from Brazil, I headed off to Montreal to minister to the people at New Beginnings Church. During this trip, I had planned to spend some time praying and seeking the heart of God for what He desired us to do in Montreal. I had no idea what to expect.

But just as we flew into Montreal, the Lord began to give me an incredible burden for that city. A burden beyond anything I have ever felt for any other city. I could feel the desperation of the spiritual climate.

Pastor Russell from New Beginnings Church picked us up from the airport and shared a lot about the city. The more I learned, the stronger the burden became. The next morning the team and I went on a 4-mile prayer walk around the city as the Lord led our steps. It was such a powerful and sobering time.

The next morning at New Beginnings Church, I could feel the strong opposition of the enemy as I began to minister and war in the Spirit. I have never felt anything like it. Despite the opposition of the enemy, many people were set free that morning from the grips of depression - praise God!

That night we had another service. As we pressed through, the Lord released a powerful anointing. Many were touched and I could sense the hand of God resting upon the youth.

Moving forward, I believe God is calling us to make Montreal a battleground for Ben Cerullo Ministries. We are scheduling many trips next year to work the ground. I believe the Lord will give us the city, but it will not be without a fight. The spiritual climate is so cold and hard, but it’s no match for the fire and power of Almighty God.
