I will never forget that night. You could hear the astonishment in the people’s voices as they shouted with amazement. The woman they had known all their lives and referred to as “the deaf, mute woman” could suddenly hear! Watch Video
It happened as I preached the message of salvation. This woman who had never heard, could suddenly hear the words from my mouth. All the people from the neighborhood were astounded. They knew her. They knew she was deaf. And now she could hear. It was a true miracle of God.
Not only was this woman’s life changed, but the entire neighborhood received hope by witnessing that miracle. In the worst neighborhood in Honduras, God poured out His hope to all those people—by healing that one woman.
That’s the incredible power of demonstrating the Gospel, that’s what we are all called to do—demonstrate the Gospel.
A few years back God spoke to me and said, “Show the people I am real” and led me to Luke 4:18 where Jesus said:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.”
This is exactly what Jesus did. He proved to people that God was alive and real. Everywhere Jesus went, He demonstrated God’s power and God’s heart by healing the sick, delivering the oppressed, casting out demons, and even miraculously feeding crowds. He did not come with just words. He came with demonstration and miracles. That revelation truly changed everything.
From that day on, there was no doubt that God had called us to go out and show the Gospel, demonstrating to the world that God is real.
Since then, God has poured out His Spirit so powerfully at every one of our crusades, transforming thousands of lives.
God is calling you and me to go out and demonstrate the Gospel, walking in the power of God. The Spirit of God is filling the temple so we can go and prove to the world that Jesus is the Son of the Living God and that He has the power to heal, deliver, and restore.
That’s exactly what the world needs right now. Amid the shaky economy and uncertain future, people need to see God demonstrated to them, they need to see that He is real, they need that hope. How will they see it if we don’t position ourselves to be those vessels of God?
It’s our destiny. We’re not called to just come to church, sit on the pews, being spectators. We’re not to just leave it up to the evangelists, pastors and apostles. No, the future of the kingdom is in our hands.
Jesus is coming! God is getting ready to pour out His Spirit like never before, and His glory will be revealed all over the world. He doesn’t want us to be ignorant of the season that we’re in.
God wants me to challenge you today, not to sit on the sidelines. The Bible says that these things would follow those who believe; they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues, they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.
God wants to ignite His Spirit inside you so that everybody you come in contact with, every sick body, every demon-oppressed person, everyone that is in the chains of the enemy, will be impacted by the fire of God inside you.
God is going to set up divine appointments and position you strategically in the path of certain people. What’s required of you is that you keep your eyes open to recognize those opportunities and allow God to flow through you.
Many times when those divine appointments are placed before us, we have many questions and doubts in the back of our minds. The fears of what if I am wrong, what if it doesn’t happen, or what if I fail? Well the good news is that the results are not your responsibility. Remember it is not the work of a man or woman, but the work of the Holy Spirit. Your job is to be obedient and step out in faith in what is prompting you to do or say. It requires you to press into God’s Word and pray for those appointments. When they come, seize the moment. If you do this, I promise you will see miracles happen all around you!
God is looking for those who are hungry, who will say “Here I am, send me.” A people who will run after everything God has for them, letting go of the things that hold them back.
I encourage you today to seek God’s face, let him know you are ready, willing, and able.
I pray that God’s anointing will come upon and overshadow you and that He will light a fire inside you that will spread like a wildfire, setting everything you touch on fire for his purpose and glory.
